While the inside of the Dolby Theatre was the place to celebrate the previous year in film on Sunday, the red carpet of the 88th Academy Awards was the spot to find out all the buzz on what’s to come.

Not only did Daisy Ridley drop hints about Star Wars: Episode VIII, but Liev Schreiber revealed a juicy tidbit on another blockbuster franchise.

As any good X-Men fan recalls, Schreiber took on the role of the popular mutant Sabretooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The movie is considered to be one of the worst (if not the worst) in the X-Men film series. Despite its futility, Schreiber’s portrayal of Sabretooth (aka Victor Creed aka Wolverine’s brother) was a highlight.

With Hugh Jackman readying to unleash his claws one more time in Wolverine 3, will we also see Schreiber cut loose again as Sabretooth?

“We talked about it. I don’t know. He’s mentioned it to me,” Schreiber told MTV’s Josh Horowitz in regards to conversations with Jackman. “The Old Man Logan story — that’s appealing. That’s something that I can do. Old, being the operative word.”

The Old Man Logan story to which Schreiber is referring is based on the eight-issue comic, Wolverine: Old Man Logan, which was ran from 2008 and 2009 and takes place 50 years in the future.

20th Century Fox is reportedly eyeing an R rating for the film which hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
