'The Force Awakens': Is Rey A Jedi?

With a Star Wars title like The Force Awakens, it’s only natural to assume that the awakening force in the newest chapter of the saga means we’ll be seeing a new generation of Jedi warriors on the big screen. While we see Finn (John Boyega) wielding a lightsaber in the trailers, Rey (Daisy Ridley) is largely seen using a long staff and a blaster gun. We don’t know a whole lot about either of these new figures in the world of Star Wars, but we’d like to think that while many people have assumed it’s Finn who will be the Jedi central to the next few films, that Rey will actually be the one getting the spotlight. But wait, you might think there’s no evidence out there to make her a Jedi. We beg to differ.
