Rebel Wilson has built a reputation for doing just about anything for a laugh. Nonetheless, the one line she wouldn't cross was nudity in The Brothers Grimsby, despite Sasha Baron Cohen's efforts to change her mind, as she said in a cover story for Marie Claire UK.

As part of an interview posted online on May 26, Wilson said she had it specifically written in her contract that she wouldn't perform her character's nude scene for The Brothers Grimsby. But when a "larger burlesque dancer from South Africa" was put in as a double for the scene in question, Cohen allegedly said, "See, she looks good," to try and sway Wilson. Yet she insisted "I'm like, I'm not doing it. I don't care what you say," and it stuck.

Wilson admits she could feel differently about it for a more serious movie, with people behind the camera who "have a certain sensibility and decency," although she says "in comedy they're not those people." In all likelihood, Cohen probably wouldn't be mistaken for one of those people anyway.

Pitch Perfect 2 did start with Wilson's Fat Amy accidentally showing nudity in a performance, but none of it was seen on screen, although it was the butt of many early jokes. The Brothers Grimsby was much more extreme with comedy and nudity, but audiences and critics didn't warm up to it, no matter how many full figured women went nude and no matter what they did to elephants.

Outrageousness is the cornerstone of many of Wilson's characters, although it was a hard won process, since she told Marie Claire that she was "cripplingly shy as a child." Yet performances like her rap battle with David Schwimmer and James Corden on The Late Late Show, which aired hours after the Marie Claire interview went up, further shows how far she's come.

Wilson's next film role is for this summer's movie version of Absolutely Fabulous, which was one of her favorite shows as a teen. After that comes Pitch Perfect 3 and the return of Amy and the Bellas on July 21, 2017.

In the meantime, Wilson's other movie this spring How To Be Single is now out on DVD and Blu-ray, with The Brothers Grimsby to follow on June 21.
