It was clear a Finding Dory debut trailer was coming shortly, both due to the first poster being released on Nov. 9 and due to The Good Dinosaur coming soon from Disney/Pixar. Now almost two weeks before that upcoming Pixar film opens, a first look at Pixar's next film is indeed out -- although its premiere is being attached to Ellen DeGeneres's talk show instead.

Before the voice of Dory herself shows the first look at Dory's return to her studio audience, The Ellen Show's YouTube page was the first to put the trailer online on Nov. 10. In it, Dory is now living next door -- so to speak -- to Albert Brooks' Marlin and Nemo, although something rather rare compells her to leave while awake and asleep.

While not revealed in this first trailer, Dory's newfound memories of her parents lead to her finding them in a Sea World type park, where they have the voices of Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy. As such, the fearful Marlin has to once again travel the sea and all its dangers to find someone, albeit with Nemo presumably by his side this time.

Like the poster, the trailer uses Dory's "Just keep swimming" catchphrase from Finding Nemo as a tagline, with the added nostalgia of Dory's sleep rambling -- although she does have one coherent mumble -- and Thomas Newman's score and Bobby Darin's "Beyond the Sea" from the original soundtrack. Of course, Pixar is now no stranger to reprising old bits and characters from its old classics, with Finding Dory the first of several sequels ahead.

Whether nostalgia, old friends and running gags will be enough for another full length sea odyssey/rescue mission will be seen on June 17, 2016. In the meantime, the debut trailer will be on TV later on DeGeneres's show, before being attached to The Good Dinosaur in theaters on Nov. 25.
